I have been looking at the possibility of offering a series of workshops the week of August 18th to the 22nd. MLTI folks are willing to join us if we have specific projects in mind. To start planning this type of staff development I need some input from you.

Are you interested in a workshop August 18th to 22nd?

What would you like to achieve in your classroom after receiving this training? In other words instead of mentioning specific software mention what you would like to do and I will work to create a workshop that helps you learn the software necessary to complete the project.

Would you rather see that week devoted to a Project Lab as we have had in the past?

Please use this blog to discuss possible staff development for the summer.

Please discuss your department's technology needs and post for discussion your list in this blog. I am in hopes departments will be able to use the discussion to support each other they organize their budget needs. I will use the discussion to see what, if any, items I can purchase with my budget. Items you may want to consider are projectors, interactive white boards, specific software, 'high-end' desktops', etc.

Post your list via a comment to this discussion. Please note beside each item how it would improve how you integrate technology with curriculum.

Teachers and Staff, Now that you all have your MLTI laptops, please use this forum to share your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions. Feel free to share any tips or tricks that may help others as they get comfortable with their MLTI.
I would like to hear your ideas about "How we could improve technology at SAHS". Please consider training of staff and students, availabitlity of resources (hardware and software), helpfulness of the technology department, etc. Thanks DSmall
