What a great first day!  Wow!  Please tell your folks (or ask if you are a folk!) what the best part of your day was.  Recess can count!

Students were sent home with a manila envelope full of first day forms, notes, etc.  We know this mound is a laborious task, yet it's return is essential to getting us all over the paperwork hump.  We have offered up a reward on Friday if the entire team, every last student!, returns all the completed forms by tomorrow.  Your assistance with this is appreciated.

Paperwork Pitfalls: Emergency forms need to be edited, signed and returned.  The Computer use packet has two forms that need to be signed and returned, asks for student signatures and needs to have three boxes checked for what can be published.  These two forms frequently need to be returned.

Additionally, students need to complete their totem pole 6" by 6" square if it wasn't here today and finish the pink sheet on why they chose what they did.

Finally, students have been assigned a vegetable or the like to be brought in for homework...it's a curious assignment, now isn't it!

Please give your student an extra hug tonight for starting the year off in such a positive way.

Welcome Back to School!
As this is the first year Fourth grade has been at MCSS, Ms. Lattin and
Mrs. Powers are especially excited about embarking upon this new adventure.
We are most eager for the first day of school and sharing Mrs. Power’s super summer stunts and Ms. Lattin’s high flying fun.

Dunk Your Teacher!?!?

For anyone attending Moonlight Madness tonight, Ms. Lattin will be in the dunk tank from 8:20-8:40.   Wahoo!

Hi Gang!  I hope this finds everyone enjoying their summer vacation.  With this rain, it's been perfect weather for puddle jumping!

There is a 5K scheduled for Sunday, June 29 which Mrs. Powers, Ms. Lattin & Betsy Li are planning on running-maybe even skipping!  We would love to have any and everyone join us.  It starts at Coburn Park at 8:00 and there is a $10 registration fee.  If you see anyone, spread the word.  We hope to see a whole lot of us there!

Mrs. Powers first death defying feat of the summer was a white water rafting trip on Saturday, June 19.  The Pams', as well as Mrs. Powers family, rafted the Penobscot River.  Wow! It was a day of adventure for sure. I can't help but wonder what she'll do next!?  Stay tuned....
